What we do.

  1. Provide volunteer search and rescue for aircraft, and personal emergency locator transmitters, utilizing electronic search techniques.
  2. Promote the art and science of radio direction finding through; the amateur radio service (ham radio), research and development, education, and training.
  3. Provide radio operators, and radio direction finding to the community during an emergency on a voluntary basis.

Where we do it.

All along the Northern front range of Colorado, from Fort Collins to the Palmer Divide.

How we do it.

We utilize auto-alerting electronic monitors located on a mountain top repeater site and at several local airports that trigger a pager based notification system. Mobile ground based teams then respond to the suspect area to determine as quickly as possible whether the signal originates from a craft/party in distress or is a false activation.
