4/26/2000
Ham monitor alerted at 1522 for Centennial. At 1602 ELT was turned off on a
Cessna 172 on the farthest north hangar.

Ham monitor alerted 10:35 5/5/00 at APA.
Departed work 10:41 aquired at the office.
Found 10:56 and off on Baron (doesn't match database)

5/8/00
Ham monitor alerted an ELT at APA at 0857. I departed the office at 0906
with a negative contact. At 0922 I found the ELT in a van on the ramp SE of
the tower and ELT was turned off.
5/17/00
0821L 1421Z Hams monitor(s) alerted with ELT eventually all monitors alerted
starting with APA amd moving to 2V2. Which indicated an east to West
passage.
0950L 1550Z AFRCC paged
0955L 1555Z Incident 2535 50/50 split no merge on a 406 beacon registered.

1005L 1605Z paged Earl S. with preliminary information to
put COS on Stand by
1012L 1612Z Earl called back and we decided to put two air crews on stand by
and a ground team.
1037L 1637Z Called AFRCC to report. Captain Muller, No high flyer reports
from Center N-Number did not get any information Address and name did not
provide a contact phone number.
Registration was questionable due to Hati registration and N-Number.
1102L 1702Z Ham monitors alerted again with multiple locations indicating an
airborne ELT
1108L 1708Z ELT fading from monitors.
1123L 1723Z Checking on 1604Z and 1630Z passes showed no usable data. Next
pass 1745Z
1130L 1730Z Called Earl and updaed situation. Current weather in COS was
raining. Earl would check with COS tower on ELT reports and aircraft
registration number.
1155L 1755Z Weather from FSS using 4655E showed no SIGMETS but AIRMETS
indicated 12000 Icing. Weather was moving to rain and hail and no movement
but indications were to move ESE within the hour. Forecast 1000SCt,
2000OVC, Vis 5-8 Hazy TR NO FLYING!!!
1208L 1808Z Called AFRCC Cpt. Muller would call me back.
1220L 1820Z AFRCC called back Negative +2 wanted to close. I agreed

I shut down an ELT today in a cherokee at Air West (east) at 16:44.
9/23/99
The ELT was turned off at 0840. Turns out
to be an Alexander Eagle (expermental) biplane. The owner contacted me and
was sorry for the disturbance.
AFRCC on a shift change this morning issued an incident number and
declared a new ELT on the field. I'm sure that that was the only ELT I
heard, we'll see soon enough.
9/30/99
The aircraft was a C-152-II 5296M operated by Wings of Denver. Ham pager
alerted at 1143 it was found at 1208 and off at 1218. Centennial Ops was
notified on my way out. I was on the ramp when they paged it was a shorter
walk to the tower than to my truck. The aircraft was located on the ramp
south of Denver Air Center West.
11/3/99
I found an ELT at JeffCo Saturday that seemed to be running for quite some
time. I remembered a page 11/1/99 at BJC but did not monitor the response.
Did anybody respond to that ELT and was anything found? The one I found was
on the shelf at Steven's Aviation avionics shop, in the hangar where Air
West operates. It was turned off about 10:57 and did not set off the
monitor at BJC.
