JJ paged team around 1140 local. 51 arrived 2V2, initially unable to acquire signal on airport. 51 decided to check for signal at 2V2 monitor location, and acquired a very weak signal with H frames only, indicating toward the south. After a short walk to the south edge of the parking area 51 decided the signal was not originating from the airport. 51 then DF'd the signal in basically a straight line from 2V2 to 1V5 - Boulder Muni using county roads. The signal was emanating from a Piper Cherokee 180 on the ramp at 1V5. ELT was deactivated by FBO personnel at 1350 local.

Sar-Sat hits on and off for several weeks, but no one heard anything either in aircraft or ground.
Located: Carrier-only. Seems as if DIA's Command Post vechile, had a busted radio, stuck in transmit mode, for an unknown period of time. (probably weeks from info I have gathered.) Seems that the vechile is stored in a building, and all radios are left on, and the batteries charging... The vechile was removed friday from the barn, and taking to the maintance area for service on a door lock. 1 team searched Friday night, and determined it was the tower. Altho tower had no stuck mikes. The hits continued. Saturday another team went out to DIA and continued working the signal, and located it to the command post vechile. Radio was turned off and service log was entered.

Betty Berger was called by AFRCC around 0830 for SARSAT hits on 121.5 north of DIA. KC0JBV paged FREDF, Betty alerted CAP. 3 SARSAT hits but DIA reported negative as did all airborne reports. No FREDF monitors alerted.
Located: CAP aircraft reported no signal on 121.5 or 243.0 right up to northern edge of Class B (DIA) airspace. K0LPM picked up strong carrier signal a couple miles south of DIA. Signal was DF'd to north end of cargo ramp and still indicating north. DIA ops escorted ground units to Concourse B (middle concourse). Signal terminated shortly after that, while teams were west of concourse to get a back bearing.
Teams: K0LPM, Blue Mesa 139 (Alex Toussaint), KC0JBV as coordinator from the office
Lessons Learned: DIA ops were great to work with. They took us anywhere we needed to go to get a bearing. When signal appeared to be coming from concourse B, where the ground control tower is, Ops called the tower (again) and reported back that there had been problems on the ground control frequency 127.5 that morning. Techs had been working on the airport radios. FAA was also working on some navaids. Given the strength of the signal, and that it terminated after both towers, ops personnel, radio techs and the FAA were notified and could see the teams on the ground, it was most likely an airport ground control radio on the wrong channel.

Alerted at 00:12. Attempted contact of airport manager via direct line (that K0FCC has) and through city dispatch. All routes failed. Left sticker on door and called AFRCC to advise them. Left at 13:25. Very odd reflections. From the southern side of the airport I was getting a signal from the south west, but the hangar I pinned it down two, 22F, was north west of that location. Very odd. There was only one sweep rate so......???
Located: Hangar 22F
Teams: K0FCC to 2v2 with N0JJH running pagers and keeping K0FCC awake. Also heard N0PSR and one other but didn't catch the callsign.

With so many reflections this was the only way I could be absolutely certain I had the correct hangar.
