Alert information: Centennial Airport
APA monitor alerted about 0705. Arrived after N0NIM and N0ZEE. Alerted airport operations then crossed gate for transient ramp at TACAIR (NE side of tower).
Located: Aircraft was located about 0800 and confirmed by N0NIM, N0ZEE, and KC0JBV. Next problem was locating the owner. Aircraft listing showed PO Box, FAA Flight plan had phone number, no answer (out of state), TACAIR could not find notification information. Airport Ops reset ELT about 0945 while N0NIM and KC0JBV were going thru phone book calling for relatives with same last name.

Located: N0PSR headed for 48V and located ELT in hangar with a person still there. N0ZEE headed for FTG and found a locked hangar. Around 2030 owner showed up and ELT was turned off at FTG.

Alert information: Centennial Airport SAR-SAT
ELT heard on the APA monitor thought to be from and AC that ran off the runway. It was turn off and another ELT was being heard by Eldorado. Approximately 15-20 min into the search we got information on a SAR-SAT hit 3 miles South of Van Aire and 2 miles North of DIA.
Located: As teams hearded into the area the ELT was heard on the ground and located non-distress at Van Aire the house located at Harvest Road and Harvest Ct. The ELT was on a Mooney that had not been flown for 1 year, but was shown to a potenial buyer earlier in the day. The owner was home and secured the ELT

Located: Arrived at airport at 0923. ELT was located at Aspen Air, instructor was aware the ELT was running and had alerted staff at Aspen Air. One of the staff members and I walked out to the aircraft and I explained how to deactivate the ELT. It was off at 0939L.

Eldorado monitor alerted about 1824. Drove to 84th and Federal and did not detect signal. N0NIM, WT0X, and N0JJH all came up. Departed for Boulder, Longmont, and Parkland.
Located: 1850 picked up ELT at Davidson mesa (above Boulder) pointing North. Located at 1V5 (Boulder) at 1908 on 115T. Was turned off by local mechanic at 1930. Owner was contacted shortly after turning ELT off. Aircraft was tagged with contact numbers.

At 10:52 am, ELT hear by Eldorado monitor. Longmont was hearing the signal weekly.
Located: At Longmont on an aircraft that hit a patch of ice while landing. The aircraft flipped over.

Alert information: SAR-SAT
about 14:30 Sar-Sat picked up hits in the boulder area. 2 positive, and then went negative. Upon hearing the conversation, and talking to CAP, 243 was opened on the Eldorado monitor, and a weak signal was heard. Signal soon faded, as 2 teams covered the Boulder area. Nothing was heard on the ground. 15:07 hrs, APA and Eldorado picked up a second elt. This one very loud, and a strong signal. It was Turned off about 16:10. Teams continued to cover the Bouder area, with nothing found. Another sar-sat hit was reported near the Marshall Lake area. Additional reports were negative. Teams cleared the area, and RTB. About 18:30 hrs, We checked all Airport monitors, and Eldorado monitor. On 243, what sounded like a sweep in the noise was confirmed by 3-4 other Hams. The search was back on. We also notified CAP, who was able to get aircraft in the air. Since the signal was on -off all day, we didn't know what we were up against, and it was getting dark.
Located: As the HAMs spread out around the city, a signal was heard need c470 & 6th AVE. Teams quickly moved in the area. The CAP planes were getting ready for take off at this time. After a breif search of the area, the ELT was located in a Glider trailer at a trailer park, just to the south of where it was first heard. The owner is a real nice guy, after the ELT was addressed, we all gathered for dinner. ELT was turned off about 21:30.
